A Flower by Hiroshi Noda

I was in Nihonbashi the other day, and saw a painting that left a mark on me. I could not take my eyes off it, a painting of a flower by Hiroshi Noda hanging on a wall of Shumpuudo gallery in Nihonbashi. I have always liked paintings by Noda whose style is figurative in perfection or another word super realism. It looks almost like a photograph but you can tell it isn’t just visual perfection nor the skillmanship. The painting has a life of its own! I asked the owner of the gallery, Mr. Yokoi what the artist’s philosophy is and his reply was “What ever Noda paints he is doing it in search for truth in life.”
